About Golden Retriever Daily

We're a community-run site for people who love golden retrievers, built as the home base for our Facebook community of fellow golden lovers.

Why we made this

Every day in our group, people ask the same kinds of questions: Why is my golden shedding so much? What should I feed my puppy? How much exercise is enough? How do I help my old girl feel comfortable? Great answers get buried in a Facebook feed within hours.

Golden Retriever Daily gives those answers a permanent home. Each guide is written in a warm, plain-English voice and built on published sources such as the American Kennel Club, veterinary schools, and the research behind the Morris Animal Foundation's Golden Retriever Lifetime Study.

How we write our guides

• We cite real sources. Every guide ends with a list of the pages we relied on, so you can read them yourself.
• We don't invent numbers. If research gives a range, we give the range. If the evidence is mixed, we say so.
• We don't play vet. We explain what the experts say and tell you when it's time to call your veterinarian.
• We keep it kind. There are lots of ways to love a dog well, and we try not to shame anyone for doing it differently.
